Do It Anyway

I was reminded of these beautiful words of wisdom over the weekend....was thinking it would be a great thing to share for people to start their week. Mother Teresa hung a copy of this poem on the wall of the orphanage she founded in Calcutta.

Do It Anyway

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.
Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.
Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten.
Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.
Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God.
...... It was never between you and them anyway.

Have a blessed week my friends~

I love Mother Teresa's writings! I really needed to read this today, because I have become aware of how much other people's opinions and view points influence my thoughts and actions.

I'm learning to find freedom in God's opinion alone!

Bless you today!

My, I was a little bit guilty of your poem posted on your blog site. But I thank you a lot! I was down and confused lately and that poem has changed my view in life. Thanks a lot for sharing it. I was teary-eyed while reading it coz’ it truly exists. Thanks again for the inspiration to start anew.
