welcome friends.....thanks for popping in my world....
I'd love to know you've stopped by, so please note that the comment section is now found at the title of each post.

If we evolved from apes....why are there still apes?

OK, I am not going to get into one of my biggest rants (if you have been around here for a while, you know that the whole evolution theory makes my skin crawl and I am a HUGE animal lover).....but I always loved that little statement and it stuck in my mind when I knew I was going to share this little less than 4 minute clip that was sent to me over the weekend.

(*This isn't a super duper spiritual posting...I am still in my digging deep mode with Jesus....continuing to sort through some questions and issues. I am ripping off a few emotional scabs but healing these wounds with God's "first aid kit" this time. It's a little painful, but I am certain I am going to come out of this better than I ever imagined! I can feel it and He promised me! I am beginning to see and experience that beautiful Light at the end of the tunnel and it sure is AWESOME!)

OK, so getting back to apes and evolution...and hopelessly trying to tie this all together.....

Please tell me......after watching this short little clip....that anyone could still believe that the animal kingdom was just random mutations over billions of years. Or that they only behave a certain way due to instinct or an automated response/reaction. Nope. I'm "old school" and I believe that God created each and every one with a special purpose on Day 6. I believe they are seen as valuable to God, who make them in their uniqueness for His own purposes. He sustains them and rejoices over them. (Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God~Luke 12:6)

How blessed are we to witness it firsthand.

Check this out...this has to warm your heart:

I hope and pray that your week is full of SONshine......

Peace~

I love this quote from Ann Coulter's book Godless:

"...the fossil record showed vast numbers of new species suddenly appearing out of nowhere, remaining largely unchanged for millions of years, and then disappearing (almost like there was a big flood or something)."

Regardless of what you think of Ann Coulter, the woman's got a point.

Girl, It amazes me everyday, that people can't look around at the beauty of creation and not KNOW there is a God. Oh, we all may have just "boomed" into existence, but it wasn't due to molecules, but by the spoken word of the Lord ALmighty!

I do not get how anyone can think that such a complex world that we live in with so many different kinds of life could possibly be a chance. And yea if it happened by evolution then why are there still apes? :) Good point!

You know, the world is always trying to explain God's genius and wonder.

We were created in His likeness and precious animals were created with their own unique purposes as well.

You know, I do wonder why God made fire ants -- and even spiders ... ok, and RATS ... :o)

I'm with you in believing that our Lord created all creatures and humans with a purpose. I'm also with you in puzzlement as to how someone could believe that the awe inspiring and intrinsically complicated animal kingdom, humans and universe could just randomly occur.

BTW - Glad to read that God is working in your life & growing you and that you're seeing the beautiful Light at the end of the tunnel. I'm continuing to pray for you.

What do I think of those who teach evolution? Well....it was a miracle when the Lord caused an ass to speak.....it would be more of a miracle if He caused them to keep quiet:-)

OH how cute! I'm with you on the whole evolution debate. When I was taking biology in high school, I was continually amazed at all of the systems of the world and how well they work together. Surely it has to be by the hand of a Creator!

Glad to hear that the Lord is revealing himself to you. I pray you continue to hear from Him and receive the answers you need. Take care my sweet friend!

Too cute! Sad when people end up worshiping the creations, instead of the wonderful, loving Creator! Great post.

Hi Michelle,

That video really cracked me up. I can't wait to pick up my 12 year old daughter and 9 year old son from school to show them the video. They will love it.

I couldn't get enough of seeing the orangutan spinning around in excitement and happiness.

Thank you for cheering me up today!

WHOA!!! I never thought of that before...why ARE there still apes here? Love the way your thinker is thinking...

Did you ever see the DVD from 'Way of the Master' where Ray Comfort calls an airline asking if his 'friend' can have a seat on the plane? His friend is an ape...

The fact there are people who still believe this, is astonishing to me! This video was so cute... thanks for sharing, Michelle.

I get you in my reader, so I hadn't seen your new background yet. Beautiful.
And the video. My family loved it. The simple friendship and utter joy they found in each other makes me smile. So pure and sweet.
